If there is a message in the story I missed it. The part I like least is the constant navel gazing by the protagonist. Someone is sending her threatening letters-letters that make her fear for her life. I did complete I Am Watching You, but it was a chore. Ella is wracked with guilt over what she failed to do, and she’s not the only one who can’t forget.
